Meet Bishop

BishopThis is Bishop. Bishop joined the family three years after Strider and offered a completely different set of challenges. Where Strider would hurl himself at any situation, Bishop would sit on the sidelines carefully pondering his options. My agility instructor, who called Bishop "the Professor" once said that it was as if God made 2 entirely different dogs and gave me both of them.

Bishop required a totally different approach from Strider. Where Strider required calm cueing to manage his energy, Bishop needed a full cheering squad for motivation to take a jump. On the other hand, Bishop rode the public transit system starting at 3 months old, came to my office daily and was a calming figure with clients and staff. The challenge was motivating him to learn new behaviors. Thankfully, the same principles that taught Strider to focus also provided the enthusiasm Bishop needed for new undertakings.
